The FAQ

What's the process like?

First we start with the information about your project so we could understand what is it we're trying to accomplish. From there we determine the scale of the production and what is required. This is a crucial part for us to be able to set up a price estimate.

When we have a grip on what is it we're aiming for and what's required of the production and we agree it's within the budget, we start planning the shoot. We usually start drawing up some inspiration/mood board and build it step by step from there.

When everything is agreed on we move to securing all the necessary components for the production - transport, studios, locations, people, equipment, props, etc.

Next stage is the production itself. And although every production is different, they all have few things in common. The images are always tethered into external monitors so we can see them on large screens, have a conversation and adjust the direction of the shoot. If your busy program doesn't allow for you to be a part of the shoot, but you still wish to be looped in, we'll set up a remote way for you to be connected and for you to see all the images the second they are created. So you could have an imput in the process.

After the production is done we move to post-production part. Sometimes the final shots are picked during the shoot so no additional assistance is required. Most of the time though we make a wider selection of what we like on the shoot and we'll send you an online collection gallery for you to pick the final ones from either yourself or share them with your team. There's an infinite number of selection lists so any member of your team can create their own and we can do the final round together.

When the selection is made and agreed upon, we move to retouching. And when that's done we'll send you the pictures in the gallery (in full resolution) for you to download and look over.

If there's any need for additional touch ups, we move to them. Only when we agree it's finished, it's really finished.

Where do we start?

The best way is for you to tell us about your project. Whether it's an art piece, an advertisement or any other type of a shoot. For us to understand your needs, where are you coming from and get the best outlook on the project at hand.

What are we aiming for? What is the purpose? What is the intended target audience? Who is your customer? Are they the same? What would you like to accomplish? What time frame do we have for this?
Tell us about your brand, what do you stand for, what do you value and what are your customers like? Or if you're an individual, what is it we're aiming for?

What price should we expect?

Price estimates is something most people are interested in. And usually for a good reason as some of us are bounded by some form of a budget or assign a value.

Those who were expecting exact figures we have to disappoint. We're sorry. We would love to give you some, but every project is unique and every production requires different components. Some require castings, make-up, styling, technicians, set building, location managers, permits, assistants, catering, international transport, etc. Some only a few things since you might be running the production or it's just a smaller scale project. Therefore we always give an estimate according to what we're specifically looking at. What will the production entail, what part of the world and so on. We'll be happy to make you an estimate for your exact production, just shoot us the details. For more information, please see "Where do we start?"

Where is Martin based, does he travel?

Traveling is something Martin still loves and enjoys, so he travels a lot. As of 2025 he's based in Prague, the Czech Republic, which is a great place to fly from around Europe. And not just that. So we're not limited geographically what so ever.

What's the usual turn around time?

Depends on a project and a time frame. There were projects where the pictures weren't needed for another few months and there were also shoots where the pictures were needed the same day. So it really depends. We try to be as flexible as the situation allows us. However time frames and deadlines are always discussed and agreed upon before the shoot.

Can you help us with planning?

Of course, our team is here for whatever is needed. When it comes to planning, or as it's also called a pre-production phase, you might also want to check the question "What's the process like?" as it will provide more context for better understanding. In general, we're ready to arrange anything the production might require.

Which parts of the production side do you handle?

We're usually used to provide our clients with a 360° service. Which means our team takes care of everything. And as every shoot is unique, it requires a different approach, different components. So we always hand pick all the components including the people according to it's scale and needs. It might require stylists, make-up artists, hair artists, castings, models, assistants, prop, grip or lighting technicians, studios, set designers, locations, permits, catering, you name it. What never changes though is our careful hand-picking the right people for the job as Martin very much cares not only about the final results, which he does a lot, but the vibe on a set as well. So he likes to work with people who, he's convinced, are the best for the task. Most of them we have on a speed dial and the rest we know, so you can sleep better.

How do we book martin?

There are several ways. You can shoot us up an e-mail either through the contact form here below or at connect@suvarina.com.
As for how far out can you book. Currently we have a limit until the end of 2026 so if you want to book Martin a few years from now, we won't be able to accommodate that. But if it's within the time frame, just shoot us an e-mail. Once we clear off the details, we'll put it in a calendar and we'll re-connect some time before the shoot.

How do we get the pictures?

After the shoot we'll send you an online gallery that you can check on the go and select or download the pictures from. We're also happy to arrange any other different form required. We regularly work with different printing platforms, some clients require flash drives, some still even DVD discs. Anything goes, just let us know what form do you prefer.

No social media presence?

Throughout the years Martin has been focused exclusively on making his clients shine, while staying off the spotlight. And that's how he likes it. This way he can focus on what really matters to him. So building social media awareness has never been a priority.
